The is a high side current shunt monitor in 5 pin SOT-23 package. This unipolar current shunt monitor has wide input common mode voltage range, high speed, low quiescent current and tiny packaging which enables the INA169 to use in variety of applications. Input common mode and power supply voltages are independent of each other. Quiescent current of 60µA permits connecting power supply to either side of current measurement shunt with minimal error. The INA169 converts differential input voltage to current output. This current is converted back to voltage with an external load resistor that sets any gain from 1 to over 100. Although designed for current shunt measurement, the circuit invites creative applications in measurement and level shifting.
