FTDI VEVAL Evaluation Module, V-Eval Interface Board, USB Host Systems Based on FTDI"s VNC1L Devices

The is an evaluation kit hardware platform that designers can use to develop embedded USB host systems based on VNC1L devices. The VNC1L is the first generation device of the Vinculum family of USB host/slave controller ICs, which are designed to deliver USB host level interfacing capabilities. The VNC1L features two independent USB host/slave ports with an inbuilt 8bit or 32bit MCU processing core with 4KBytes of RAM program memory and 64KBytes of embedded flash memory for firmware storage. The V-Eval Board includes all the components you need to start developing USB host systems based on VNC1L devices. This board comes with VDAP disk and peripheral firmware version pre programmed in to the VNC1L program flash memory. The V-Eval board can draw its power either from wall 5V/1A DC power supply or from USB B type connector CN4 when connected to the host PC. This evaluation board has supply voltage range from 4.75V to 5.25V and supply current of 60mA.

Without proper anti static handling the board can be damaged. Therefore, take anti static precautions while handling the board.

The V-Eval board must be stored between -40°C and 80°C. The recommended operating temperature is between 0°C and 55°C.
