The is a 2m beige unbooted CAT-5e UTP Patch Cable with a RJ45 plug on each end. This 24AWG stranded cross-wired patch cable developed from the earlier Cat.5 system. Fully backward compatible, it was designed to provide copper Gigabit capability across a copper cabling infrastructure and remains the most widely used type of network cable. It acts as the link cable between Gigabit card to switch or switch to switch. Supplied as an unbooted cable, all eight lines of the cable are connected whereas only four lines with the Cat.5 version.
