The is an evaluation module for TPS61085 boost converter to step up 2.3V to 6V input voltages to 12V. The goal of the evaluation module is to facilitate evaluation of the TPS61085 power supply solution. The evaluation module uses the TPS61085 adjustable output boost converter and the appropriate feedback components to provide 12V. The TPS61085 is a high frequency, high efficiency DC to DC converter with an integrated 2.0A, 0.13R power switch capable of providing an output voltage up to 18.5V. The selectable frequency of 650KHz or 1.2MHz allows the use of small external inductors and capacitors and provides fast transient response. The external compensation allows optimizing the application for specific conditions. A capacitor connected to the soft start pin minimizes inrush current at startup.

This EVM should be operated within the input range of 2.5V to 6V and the output voltage range of up to 18.5V, but 12V as configured. Exceeding the specified input range may cause damage to the EVM.
