The is a through-hole Fixed Resistor with silicone ceramic coating ceramic composition. The OY series of fixed ceramic resistor is ideal for circuitry associated with surges, high peak power or high energy. It offers enhanced performance in high voltage power supplies, R-C snubber circuits and inrush limiters. The OY resistor can often replace carbon composition resistor which can be difficult to source.
