EAP-E-PA
Ethernet Access Point
is an Ethernet access point, it allows access to an ETRX2-PA wireless mesh networking module via Ethernet using the Lantronix XPort Direct serial to Ethernet bridge device. The Ethernet Access Point is a "gateway" allowing access to ETRX2 mesh networking modules via an industry standard Ethernet IP Network. Once the IP address of the EAP has been established and Firewall access set, the EAP can be accessed from anywhere in the world. The AT-Command interface - based on the EmberZNet meshing stack can be easily accessed by the application software using telnet or by creating a virtual COM port using the supported Lantronix CPR COM Port Redirector software for windows. Using the Ember bootloader custom firmware and firmware upgrades can be downloaded via Ethernet or over the air. The SIF interface also allows the EAP-E to be used as a platform for firmware development and debugging.
