Flash memory can be reprogrammed even when in-circuit, providing non-volatile data storage, and also allowing field upgrades of the 8051 firmware. Using the software you have full control over all peripherals which you can shut down to save power. Available in 32-pin LQFP or 28-pin QFN packages.
