The demonstration board features LTM4619EV high input voltage, high efficiency, high density DC to DC µModule regulator. The LTM4619EV is a complete dual 4A or single 8A step down DC to DC µModule micromodule regulator. Included in the IC package are the switching controller, power FETs, inductor and all support components. The low profile package 2.82mm enables utilization of unused space on the bottom of PC boards for high density point of load regulation. Derating is necessary for certain VIN, VOUT and thermal conditions. The two outputs are interleaved with 180° phase to minimize the input ripple and reduce the input capacitors. A minimum design only requires the bulk input and output capacitors and voltage setting resistors. Burst mode operation or pulse skipping mode can be selected for better light load efficiency.
