The is a serial EEPROM of I2C bus interface in 8 pin SOP package. A serial EEPROM Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory is a non-volatile memory optimized for data retention with I2C bus interface. This serial EEPROM operates at 2.5V to 5.5V making them ideal for battery powered devices.
