Used in mobile devices, the MMA955xL intelligent motion sensing platform is an industry first, featuring:

* Integration of a MEMS accelerometer

* A 32-bit embedded ColdFire® MCU, flash memory and a dedicated architecture to manage other sensors

* Programmable to provide freefall detection, tilt and 3-D orientation detection, tap and double tap detection, dead reckoning, shock, vibration and sudden motion detection, and power management
