The ADP171 series low quiescent current CMOS low-dropout Linear Regulator operates from 1.6 to 3.6V and provides up to 300mA of output current. The low 66mV dropout voltage at 300mA load improves efficiency and allows operation over a wide input voltage range. The low 23µA of quiescent current at a 0mA load makes the ADP171 ideal for battery-operated portable equipment. It is optimized for stable operation with small 1µF ceramic output capacitors. Ideal for powering digital processors, the ADP171 exhibit good transient performance and occupy minimal board space. Compared with commodity types of LDOs, the ADP171 provides 20 to 40dB better power supply rejection ratio PSRR at 100kHz, making this an ideal power source for analog-to-digital converter mixed-signal processor systems and allowing use of smaller size bypass capacitors. In addition, low output noise performance without the need for an additional bypass capacitor further reduces printed circuit board component count.
